When two pulses arrive in a small time intervall, the detector is not fully recovered when it receives the second photon. Therefore the second pulse tends to be off. This effect is called “Temporal Walk”.

In the new firmwar this effect can be compensated on a per-channel basis.

This can lead to a significant improvement in jitter performance.
